Bihar politics has once again witnessed a major upheaval. After Nitish Kumar resigned as Chief Minister, power has now fallen into the hands of Samrat Chaudhary. With his election as the new Chief Minister, the political temperature in the state has suddenly risen. While this change of power has given the ruling party a new direction, it has also provided the opposition with a new opportunity to attack.
Amidst this entire development, Rohini Acharya, daughter of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, has launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party. In a lengthy post on the social media platform X, Acharya questioned the BJP’s leadership capabilities.
In her post, Rohini wrote that even after 46 years of its inception, the BJP has failed to develop a strong leadership in Bihar.
She alleged that the party has never been able to form a government on its own, nor has it been able to declare a chief ministerial candidate in any assembly election. Rohini also said that the BJP lacks a leader who enjoys widespread public acceptance.
Rohini Acharya further wrote that the BJP’s “political poverty” is evident from the fact that even after years of efforts, when the party succeeded in removing Nitish Kumar from the post of Chief Minister, it had to appoint a leader who neither comes from the RSS’s “Nagpuriya nursery” nor is a product of the “barren garden” of Bihar BJP.
Moreover, she also targeted Samrat Chaudhary, citing his past statements. Rohini said that appointing a man whose father had made controversial statements against the Prime Minister and who himself had called for Nitish Kumar’s “political destruction” as Chief Minister reflects the BJP’s compulsion.
In her statement, Rohini criticized the BJP, saying that the party now relies on “nomadic leaders” and that its organization is internally weakened. She also questioned the BJP, citing allegations of fake degrees and birth certificates.
At the same time, no official response has come from the BJP on these allegations so far, but the party leaders are continuously claiming that development in Bihar will get a new momentum under the leadership of Samrat Chaudhary.
Following this political shift in Bihar, all eyes are on how the new government operates and how far the opposition will escalate its attacks. For now, it’s certain that Bihar politics will only heat up in the coming days.
